You have the big idea of what an outdoor area will look like in terms of tiles, retaining walls or turf, but you need to also factor in the finer details which can sometimes be hard to do.

Anywhere from choosing what pebble will look best; what type of plants you want (tall plants, screening plants, small bushes, flowering plants, evergreens or deciduous); what kind of soil, do you need; fertiliser; should you use mulch. The list can really seem endless, and if you don't have that eye for design or any landscaping knowledge it can feel overwhelming with all of the options.
